January is officially over, can you believe it ?! It seems like just yesterday we were preparing our homes for family and friends, ready to celebrate the holidays. A month into the new year, i have found some new favorites to share with you. Below are a few of my favorites things for the month of January that i could not stop talking about…
1. LA LA Land Soundtrack.
From the moment i watched the film, i knew that i would be obsessed with the soundtrack. As a romantic and a forever lover of musicals, i fell in love with every single track on this album. If you have not seen the movie go see it now. La la land joins the list of two other soundtracks that i love. (If your curious to what those are ; Tron legacy album by Daft Punk, Guardians of the Galaxy Volume. 1)
2. Keratase Nutrive Masquintense for thick hair.
I have thick color treated curly hair, and i desperately needed a great mask to balance out all the damage from coloring my hair. After researching i found the Keratase line had the most positive reviews, and decided to give it a try. I was not disappointed. I usually have to wash my hair in sections, to avoid tangling and the Keratase Masqintense makes my hair so much more manageable. It softens my hair , and helps cut my styling time in half. (curly hair girls know how long it takes to detangle before styling). The downside is the cost, retail price for this is $31.00 on amazon. If you can it is definitely worth a try.
3.Present over perfect by Shauna Niequest.
This was the book of the month for my book club, and i couldn’t be happier that it was chosen. To read more about why i love this book, check out my book review here .
4. Time magazine Mindfulness edition.
I am a magazine junkie, so when i saw this Time magazine edition i knew i had to purchase it. For anyone wanting to learn about acquiring a mindful lifestyle this is a great read. The magazine is separated into three different sections, Outsmart stress, Find your center (benefits of meditation, gratitude, and faith), and Eat, play, thrive. Time magazine mindfulness edition will be on stands until February, 7 2017.
5. Minimalist documentary on Netflix.
This documentary opened my eyes to the benefits of minimalist living. The documentary centers around two guys who take there message around the united states, meeting with small to large groups hoping to inspire others to make a lifestyle change. This is a must watch documentary.
If you are’nt watching Sherlock, why are’nt you ! I have been a huge fan from the beginning and this show just keeps getting better. Season 4 finale was the best finale i have ever seen in any drama, and i can say that without hesitation. If you have never see the show, be sure to check it out on Netflix. You can binge watch season 1-3, and thank me later.
